There are a lot of things that can interfere with our productivity and prevent us from reaching our goals. Distractions come in all forms, from our phones to our thoughts, and it can be hard to stay focused on what’s important.

But if we want to achieve our goals, we need to learn how to manage our time wisely and eliminate anything that’s wasting our time. In this blog post, we’ll explore some of the most common time wasters and what we can do to avoid them. By being more aware of how we’re spending our time, we can make strides in our personal and professional lives.

Time wasters and how they block your blessings:

Procrastination: By not doing what you know you are supposed to you really just create long detours before you get to your destination (IF YOU GET THERE). The unknowing when you will reach said destination is what actually is the cause of uneasiness. The more you think about how you could be doing what you know you should but don't you internalize it as you don't truly value your goals and that train of thought can start to wear you down.
Overcommitment: Allowing people to waste your time drains your energy and fast! The one way most of us allow others to waste our time is putting way too much on our plate than we can handle or even have the capacity for. When you fall into the trap of allowing other people to waste your time you are subconsciously saying to yourself, their needs and desires have more value than my own. Is that true? NO
Not Setting Boundaries: When you find yourself being drained from one and two, adding number 3 is a really lethal combo and a for sure way to annihilate any progress you have towards your goals. Boundaries are a scary but necessary part of the journey of growth. You don't always want to face confrontation but you often have to boundaries say to both you and others "I love myself"

I hope this message reaches the right person. I'm trying to show you all that breaking into tech and surviving in tech often requires skills that have nothing to do with computers. To be successful in your roles, the first thing companies look for is that you're emotionally stable. They can teach the software to anyone, but they'd rather also have the person on their team who understands how to not let time wasters interfere with their goals. By being as committed and focused as you need to be, you can always reach the next level in your life.
